Travel

  • Airport : The nearest airport is Birmingham Airport. There are flights between Paris and Birmingham several times per day, operated by both Air France and Easy Jet.
  • Passport & ETA : If you are coming from abroad, in order to travel to the UK you need your passport as well as an ETA (link).
  • Car Hire: If you need to hire a car, there are car rental providers at Birmingham Airport as well as in Worcester. If you would like to carpool, we can give you the contact information of guests who are interested.
  • Trains: The closest stations are Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire Parkway, Worcester Shrub Hill, & Birmingham International (same location as Birmingham Airport).
  • Taxis: Please find below the list of taxi companies from our wedding reception venue. You can book a taxi for the end of the reception, and retrieve your vehicle from the venue before 2 pm the day after. We strongly recommend you to book the taxi in advance.
  • Accommodation: Please find below a list of hotels & accommodation providers in the area.

Places to visit / things to see

We would be extremely happy for you to profit from your trip to stay a little longer and visit this wonderful part of England. Here are some ideas for things to do & places to visit that we have done together and very much enjoyed (in no particular order).

  • Bath: A historic city known for its Georgian architecture, Roman baths, modern spa, and a period fashion museum.
  • Black Country Museum: A living museum showing the industrial heritage of the Black Country, made famous as one of the main film sets for Peaky Blinders. A must see!
  • Hidcote Gardens: A Cotswold Manor with a world famous garden.
  • Worcester: The county town of Worcestershire. A city famous for it’s porcelain, gloves, Cathedral & battles during the English Civil War.
  • The Cotswolds: Visit this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with rolling hills & villages in unspoilt English countryside.
  • Gloucester: A historic city with its Cathedral & Cloister which featured in the filming of the Harry Potter films.
  • The Malvern Hills: Go for a walk or bike ride in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the border of the three Counties of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, and Herefordshire. The highest peak gives panoramic views of the Severn Valley all the way to Bristol.
  • Warwick Castle: Medieval Castle converted into a Country House. With demonstrations and activities for children and adults alike.
  • Cadbury World: Visit Birmingham’s famous chocolate maker. Factory tours & activities for children.
